Tree Planting Activity in Brgy. San Andres, Tanay Rizal

On November 23, 2024, a tree planting activity took place at the Alapaap Camp Site in Brgy. San Andres, Tanay, Rizal. The event was organized by Seeds of Hope Inc. in collaboration with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Tanay, with support from FTI, LGF, and Postcode. The initiative aimed to enhance local biodiversity and ecosystem health by planting native and fruit-bearing trees.

A total of 800 Philippine native trees were planted during the event, including:

  • 180 Molave (Vitex Parviflora)
  • 125 Ilang-ilang (Cananga odorata)
  • 165 Banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa)
  • 210 Dap-dap (Erythrina orientalis)
  • 120 Narra (Pterocarpus indicus)

The activity was attended by 130 volunteers who helped make a significant contribution to the environment and the local community.
