The construction of a pre-range chicken house, funded by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V. (ASB), aimed to improve agricultural infrastructure for HIPEDAC’s poultry farming in Hindang, Leyte. Construction took place from March 16 to 31, 2022, and included site preparation, installation of cement poles for the foundation, and building the framework for the chicken house. Accessories like feeders and water dispensers were installed, followed by the roof and bamboo walls with a door for access. The completed facility will enhance HIPEDAC’s poultry farming capacity and support their economic sustainability.
